Competition – Perform at our Christmas Lights Switch On

This Christmas we’re giving you the chance to take part in our Christmas Lights Switch On event and perform in front of thousands of people. 

Whether you’re a circus performer, singer or dancer, we want to hear from you.

All you need to do to enter is send a clip or a link of yourself performing to and include your home address, email and telephone number. The competition opens on Sunday 29 October and entries close on Sunday 5 November. A winner will be notified on Thursday 9 November.

Terms & Conditions

•   The closing date is Sunday 5 November at 5pm.

•   Only one entry per person will be accepted.

•   Entrants must send either a clip or a link to a video demonstrating their chosen talent to as well as their name, email address, home address and contact details.

•  Entrants must live within one of the following local authorities:

•   Entrants under 16 may apply however permission from a parent or guardian will be required.

•   The winning entry will be selected by an independent judge after the closing date at 5pm on Sunday 5 November. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

•   The winner will be notified via telephone and/or email by Thursday 9 November. 

•   The winner will perform their act at an agreed slot at Cwmbran Centre's Light Switch On event on Wednesday 15 November.

•   The winner will receive a gift of £100 from the centre in addition to their performance at the Christmas Lights Switch On.

•   If we cannot contact the winner within 24 hours from the closing date, we reserve the right to re-select a winner (via our independent judge) and thereafter until a winner on these terms is found.

•   By entering this competition, the winner gives permission for their name and/or photograph to be used/mentioned on the Cwmbran Centre Facebook page.

•  The winner will be announced on Cwmbran Centre's Facebook page on or before Monday 13 November.  

•  Rude or offensive language is not tolerated on our Facebook page and any offensive comments will be removed.
