Christmas comes early for Alexis
Christmas has certainly come early for one shopper in Cwmbran - she's won £500 to spend!
Alexis Manship, from Newport, entered the competition in the latest Cwmbran Christmas supplement, and was overwhelmed to win the top prize.
"I was just in absolute shock when they told me I'd won, and I couldn't take it in. To win such a prize in the week before Christmas is wonderful - it couldn't have come at a better time."
Alexis, who has five daughters, said her entire family was excited about the prospect of spending the cash.
"When the girls heard, they were all keen to have a share, but I'll also be making sure I spend some of it on shoes for me - lots of them!"
Cwmbran Shopping Manager, Gerry Hutchings, said the competition had been extremely popular.
"We were delighted to be able to present Alexis with such a great prize just in time for Christmas, and we're sure she'll enjoy spending it in our stores around the town."
