Greggs has opened its third store in Cwmbran, creating 12 new jobs for local people.
The new store is in Monmouth Walk and to prepare for the opening, shop manager Cheryl Price and her team received special training to develop their bakery skills even further.
“We’re all very excited about our new shop – the team and I are passionate about freshly-baked food and first signs show that we’re going to be very popular with local customers,” said Cheryl, who was promoted from within. Personally this also represents a big challenge for me. I’ve been promoted from assistant manager at Greggs Celtic Spring to this new role. Although I understand this comes with a lot of new responsibilities, I’m truly relishing it!”
Customers will find a wide range of fresh bakery food in the store, including savouries, sandwiches handmade in the shop, and delicious sweet treats. The new shop also sells soup and hot sandwiches. Every day from 8am to 11am, and all day Sunday, customers can also try the breakfast menu including bacon and sausage breakfast rolls, as well as porridge, croissants and mixed berries and granola yogurts.
