Cwmbran shopping centre supports local charities and is actively involved in a number of community initiatives.

Environmental Awareness
Recycling is on everyone’s mind and Cwmbran Shopping has employed two new recycling ‘members of staff’ characters BITZ and PIEZES. BITZ message to you is “a bit saved here, a bit saved there, be like BITZ and show you care – RECYCLE!”

Prudential 4 Youth
In September this year the Streetfonix Showcase event was held in Gwent Square where young people from all over Torfaen showed just how much they had achieved after taking part in a summer community arts project.  Streetfonix is a unique music and media-based Rock School project which was run entirely by the young people involved over the summer break. 
This has been supported by Prudential 4 Youth, Catch 22, Cwmbran Shopping, Community Music Wales, the Community Safety and Arts Development Departments at Torfaen County Borough Council, Cwmbran Centre for Young People, Pentalk Lab and The Riverfront Recording Studio.   For more information about this event please see click here.
